Gemma Robinson, Assistant Principal and Campus Director
Gemma Robinson joins the popular college, Skegness TEC, which is part of the TEC Partnership, at an exciting time as a new campus is due to be built and planned to open in 2025.
Joining from the Grimsby Institute where she worked for over 17 years as a Director, Gemma brings with her a wealth of knowledge from the FE sector specifically curriculum development and community learning.
Skegness-born Gemma welcomes the opportunity to work in her hometown. As a teenager summer holidays were spent working as a lifeguard at the Embassy pool and waitressing in local cafes. Coming from a family with a strong history of seafaring, moving into a career in the Navy as a Marine Engineer was a natural progression. After 7 years in the Navy Gemma became a business owner and then moved into education.
“I have wonderful memories starting out my career in Skegness; and am proud to lead Skegness TEC into a new phase over the next few years,” says Gemma.

“It’s an exciting time for the region with the development of the new Skegness TEC campus, which will be based on Wainfleet Road.” Gemma continues, “the new learning campus is one of the Connect Coast Town Deal projects and is set to benefit from £13.8 million in Town Deal funding from the government. We are thankful to the Connected Coast Board and East Lindsey District Council who have supported us all the way with this development, our ambition is to provide a state-of-the-art post-16 education and skills facility that seeks to encourage the development of a strong and diverse community.”
