What you will learn

To gain an ITQ at level 1 you need to accumulate 13 credits. In the Learning centres these can be achieved by choosing combinations from Word processing, Database, Spreadsheets, Internet, Desktop Publishing, and Presentation Graphics. There is a mandatory assessment `Improving Productivity in IT that incorporates the knowledge and skills gained from your chosen unit and a final short online test.

Entry Requirements

Prior knowledge of IT and an entry test to assess prior knowledge. Alternatively you may progress from our Level 1 ITQ Award straight on to this qualification.

How is the course assessed

Assessed by a practical task which is undertaken on completion of learning each unit. Certificates are awarded on successful completion of all units. The practical assessments are marked in house and feedback given within one week.

What you will learn

To gain an ITQ at Level 2 you need to accumulate 16 credits. There is a mandatory unit ‘Improving Productivity’ which generates 4 credits, which is achieved by completing a practical assessment combined with your first unit and includes planning and evaluation of your own work.

The remaining credits are then gained by selecting additional units. These can all be at Level 2 or can be at different levels. An individual appointment will enable you to discuss your options to determine the best choice for you.

  • Desktop Publishing

Entry Requirements

It is envisaged learners will have completed the Level 1 ITQ Certificate or equivalent. Where a learner is looking to commence the course without the entry requirements an Entry test will be given to ensure that the individual has the skills required to succeed at this Level. Where this is not the case, the learner will be offered an alternative course to meet their needs.

How is the course assessed

The Level 2 ITQ Certificate can be assessed in a number of ways, the most likely option within our Learning Centre is through the completion of a series of practical based assessments which are assessed in the centre, with the results being feedback to you within a week. However the ITQ can be assessed through work based evidence, if you are interested in undertaking the ITQ through work based evidence please speak to one of our team.

What you will learn

The ITQ (a Full City & Guilds Level 3 Information Technology Qualification) is a new, unique nationally recognised business qualification. It provides the competence and knowledge to use a variety of hardware and software products more efficiently and is suitable for the more experienced IT user who is looking to develop IT skills further. You might be the department IT champion, in an IT-related role or need to use specialised IT in another role.

Entry Requirements

It is envisaged learners will have completed the Level 2 ITQ Certificate or equivalent.

Where a learner who has not completed the Level 2 ITQ Certificate wishes to enrol on to Level 3, an Entry test will be conducted to ensure that the learners has the required skills to enrol on to Level 3. Full feedback will be provided following completion of the Entry test and where a learner does not demonstrate all the skills to commence a Level 3 ITQ an alternative course will be provided.
