Senior production chefs may lead a brigade team or may support the head chef in larger establishments. They report activities to the Head chef or appropriate line manager. They supervise production chef teams in a variety of kitchen environments, for example, schools, hospitals, the Armed Forces, care homes and high street casual dining or pub kitchens.
A hospitality team member can work in a range of establishments, for example bars, restaurants, cafés, conference centres, banqueting venues, hotels or contract caterers.
A commis chef is the most common starting position in many kitchens and in principal the most junior culinary role. A commis chef prepares food and carries out basic cooking tasks under the supervision of a more senior chef.
The Level 3 Learning and Development Practitioner is designed for those who are involved with identifying training needs and finding training and learning solutions.
This Apprenticeship is suitable for those working in roles such as a care worker, activity worker or personal assistant. The setting could be a residential or nursing home, domiciliary care, a day centre or a person s own home. Some clinical settings may also be suitable.
This course is designed to help the learner achieve both the knowledge needed to become an early practitioner whilst giving the learner the opportunity to learn new skills and develop their responsibilities as an early years practitioner. It will provide the learner will extensive knowledge on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and how this is implemented within the role of the practitioner.
This course helps to develop the skills and knowledge of people working in a range of roles within this sector. These roles could include early years worker or assistant in an early learning or childcare setting, care worker or assistant, nursery worker or supervisor, childminder, nursery nurse or foundation unit nursery teaching assistant.
