About This Course

If you want a future career within the motor vehicle industry, our courses at Skegness are designed to take you on this journey.

You'll learn in our industry standard workshop, working on a range of modern cars (including the latest electric vehicles), to develop your skills and experience.

You will learn everything from how to change tyres, work on brakes, suspension, chassis, engines, and transmission systems. In addition, you will carry out a wide range of servicing tasks.

Courses will also cover all of theoretical content that you will need to succeed in your studies, and progress into your career.

We have great links with employers so that students are able to access valuable placement opportunities, and benefit from the experiences of industry professionals.

  • Inspecting Light Vehicles Using Prescribed Methods
  • Overhauling Light Vehicle Engine Mechanical Units
  • Removing and Replacing Light Vehicle Driveline Units and Components
  • Overhauling Light Vehicle Transmission Units
  • Overhauling Light Vehicle Steering and Suspension Units

Entry Requirements

Level 1GCSE English and Maths at Grades 1 or 2Interest and/or experience with motor vehicles

Level 2GCSE English and Maths at Grade 3Substantail prior experience with motor vehiclesOR Level 1 qualification in Motor Vehicle and at least one of GCSE English and Maths at Grade 3

Level 3Level 2 qualification in Motor Vehicle and at least one of GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4+
